Sit With Me invites viewers into an intimate interaction with an unfinished quilt, symbolizing trauma and its subtle, ongoing presence in our lives.

The gentle act of acknowledging & healing from trauma

  • Participants are asked to drape the quilt over themselves while engaging with Derek Jarman’s The Garden, fostering a moment of reflection. The quilt, made of recycled linen, explores how trauma is stored in our bodies, inadvertently bleeding into our daily lives and behaviours. By inviting viewers to return the quilt in any configuration, the piece reflects the individual and collective processing of emotional experiences, acknowledging the ongoing, shifting nature of healing.
